This weekend, actually on Martin Luther King day, a year ago, we took delivery of our current Airstream. You can read about it here.
We have had a fun year in the trailer. We have towed it a bit over 5300 miles, not all of them camping. We have spent 51 nights in the trailer and visited 4 states.
This all just gives a taste and yearning for more. Retirement cannot come soon enough.
I am very happy with the trailer. The extra 6 feet makes livability much better. More storage space, more space to stretch out. It is a bit longer to tow but I find that makes me more careful when maneuvering. The extra length actually makes it easier to back it up. Much more forgiving. I have to watch out for tail drag however. I have not hit a curb, yet.
There are a few things that I would like to have changed and I will do so. I will replace the simple vent fan in the bathroom with a Fantastic Fan so we can get better airflow (the rear air conditioner took the place of the second FF).
We will get it tweaked just right for our extended times and these trips now allow us to see what we need to do.
